LEADERSHIP BOARD
Neighborhood Church is governed by a team of regular folks of all sorts of backgrounds and experiences. Some Board members have been involved with church for years - and some are just starting their journey into deeper connection and leadership in a church. The Board works as a kind of small group (9 members!) who pray for and with each other, discuss heavy subjects with grace and patience, and do some laughing along the way. It is a Board, but it is rarely boring.
The Church Board comes together roughly once a month to set policies, discern long term church goals, evaluate progress towards those goals, hold pastors and staff accountable to stated goals, and celebrate accomplishments small and large. Learn more about current Board members below!

During its February 7th meeting, the Board reviewed the Simplified Accountable Structure (SAS) training series and what next steps would be needed by the Board to live into this model. Everyone agreed our first step should be to increase transparency around Board meetings. Congregants with questions about SAS are encouraged to read Mission Possible 3 by Kotan and Bradford or get in touch with a member of the Board. The Board's next meeting will be March 11th-12th, and will focus on further exploring the SAS model and identifying the team’s natural talents using Lencioni’s Working Genius.
The Board formed new temporary working teams to handle three topics. Any congregant who is interested in joining a working team or learning more about it should contact the Board member listed:
—Email software options and a new member email series - Whitney at whitney.j.brown07@gmail.com
—Upcoming fundraising needs - Rachel at rlfurey@gmail.com
—Healthcare options offered to staff - Katie at katie.paden@gmail.com

Did you know there are 3 funds we fundraise for every year?
General Fund: used to support all our budget needs, including staff salaries, building maintenance, and even annual ministries like our grow groups and NeighborFests
Benevolence Fund: used to support our community members in need
Solidarity Fund: used to support missionally-aligned organizations, like our quarterly justice initiatives and wealth redistribution efforts
