Community connection is kind of our thing.
We believe that gathering in community is an essential part of our spiritual journey at Neighborhood Church ATL. We recognize the power of coming together, not only to worship and pray, but also to support and uplift one another. In our progressive, inclusive United Methodist Church, we believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every individual, regardless of their background, beliefs, or identity. By gathering in community, we create a safe and welcoming space where everyone can be their authentic selves, and where diversity is celebrated and embraced. Through our shared experiences and conversations, we learn from one another, broaden our perspectives, and deepen our understanding of the divine. We believe that by gathering in community, we can more fully live out the teachings of Jesus, who called us to love and care for one another. It is in this collective journey that we find strength, renewal, and a sense of belonging that is vital to our faith.
We believe neighboring is a spiritual practice.
We’ve created some tips for neighboring that we put into practice as a community and would love for you to share with your community, too! Check them out below. You can also download a printable PDF HERE.
Meet us at the intersection of justice and community!
NeighborFEST is Neighborhood Church ATL's vibrant quarterly initiative that invites the community to explore the dynamic intersection of justice and faith. Every quarter, we gather a diverse mix of businesses and organizations from the Greater Atlanta area for an afternoon filled with fun, fellowship, and meaningful engagement in justice. Our next event is scheduled for July 28th.
